What is Shattuck-St. Mary’s Fall Giving Days?
Fall Giving Days are a three-day celebration of philanthropy where alumni, parents, friends, and the entire Shattuck-St. Mary’s community comes together to support our students and programs. It’s an opportunity to show your SSM pride and make an immediate impact.

Why does Shattuck-St. Mary's need to fundraise?
Tuition only covers 74% of the cost of educating a student at Shattuck-St. Mary's with the quality of education and integrity we demand. The remaining cost is funded by our generous donors and ensures that the school has the ability not only to remain competitive with tuition, but to grow our academic, athletic, student life, and arts programs to be best-in-class.
When do Fall Giving Days take place?
This year’s Fall Giving Days will run from October 17th to October 19th, starting at midnight on the first day and ending at 11:59 p.m. on the final day.
Why are Giving Days important to Shattuck-St. Mary’s?
Giving Days focuses on the power of our community for 48 hours of generosity. Participation at every level shows the strength of our network and provides vital resources for financial aid, student programming, athletics, the arts, and campus growth.
Who can participate in Giving Days?
Everyone! Alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends of SSM are all encouraged to get involved by making a gift, sharing the campaign, or both.
Is there a minimum donation to participate?
Gifts starting at $10 can be made online. Should your ability to give fall below this mark, please contact Brycen Eberwein at Brycen.Eberwein@s-sm.org to find out how to participate.

How can I make a gift during Fall Giving Days?

Can I make my gift early, or does it need to be during the event?
Absolutely! Please call Brycen Eberwein at (218)-779-4290 or email to Brycen.Eberwein@s-sm.org to schedule and ensure your donation can be counted towards this incredible weekend.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. Shattuck-St. Mary’s is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive an email confirmation and tax receipt after making your gift.
Can I designate my gift to a specific program, team, or fund?
All gifts will be directed to the SSM Annual Fund and will inevitably impact the program, sport, or activity you wish to see thrive. In the event you would like to have your major gift used entirely for a specific use, please call or text Brycen Eberwein at (218)-779-4290 to discuss gift restriction.
Will my employer match my gift? How can I set that up?
Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple your impact. Check with your HR department or use our online matching gift search tool to see if your company participates.
Can I make a gift in honor of or in memory of someone?
Absolutely! When your make your gift there will be a field where you can specify whom you are honoring with your gift.

Your gift supports the daily life of our students by funding scholarships, enhancing programs, and sustaining the traditions that make SSM exceptional. Every dollar directly contributes to opportunities that help our students grow and succeed.
Do small gifts really matter?
Yes! A little plus a little can add up to a lot.
Will my gift be used immediately, or is it part of a long-term fund?
Unless otherwise designated, your gift will be used immediately to support the most pressing needs of our students and campus. You can also choose to contribute to endowed funds if you prefer to make a long-term impact.
